If A Tree Falls In The Forest, I Bet She'd Hear It

Just a quick update to let you all know that Emery's tubes surgery went great.  She is like a whole new kid.  She can finally hear! She is talking at a normal volume, telling all of us (especially Asher) that we are talking too loud, and I don't think I have heard her yell since we got back from the hospital.  I was reading her a story before bed yesterday when the air conditioner kicked on.  She looked at me wide eyed and said, "What's that noise?"  "Its just the air conditioner," I said surprised.  It never occurred to me that she couldn't hear regular background noises.  It happened again this morning during breakfast.  I had a load of laundry in the washer and when the water started to run she asked again about the noise.  Poor kid.
The procedure went very quickly.  We were immediately called back upon our arrival.  A cute little doctor bear was waiting for her on the bed.  She seemed a little nervous but was fairly talkative considering the amount of new people coming in and out of the room.  They took her back, put her out, and she was done about 10 mins later.  When I asked her about the gas mask she said that they told her to "blow out the candles" (breathe) but she was annoyed because there were no candles to blow out.  She insists that she fell asleep on her own without their help and woke up when she felt like it.  haha.
We celebrated with breakfast at McDonalds and a strawberry milkshake.  She had no pain and you would never have known we just spent an hour in the hospital.  Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
