Emery's Ears
I just wanted to let everybody know that Emery as an appointment to get tubes put in her ears at 7am on Friday morning. We have had a long battle with her allergies and sinuses. However, ever since she turned 4, all of that went away and she developed constant ear infections. I'm talking 10 or so in a row. She would be in antibiotics for one ear and develop an infection in the other. The good news is that Emery rarely complained of pain. When the doctor looked in her ear, she would jump back in surprise at all of the puss and junk inside. When asked, Em would shrug her shoulders and say, "yeah, I guess it hurts a little." Half the time we discovered an infection, we were in the office for a different reason and the doctor would say, "Oh by the way, she also has an ear infection." Basically, Emery has had constant fluid in her ears and it is starting to affect her hearing. Not permanently; we just need to drain it. The tubes will help keep the fluid out in the future. Supposedly the procedure is very simple and Emery will only be out for a few minutes. They use a gas similar to the dentist office only a little stronger. I will let you all know how it goes. Keep her in your prayers please :)
