Babies At The Beach

We packed the kids up and headed to St. Augustine, Florida last week to visit friends and family and enjoy some fun in the sun.  Before you get jealous...notice the jackets.

     It was pretty chilly.  And when the temp seemed nice...the wind would get ya. 

    It is tough to get a nice family beach pic when the wind is raging and the kids are wet and cold...not to mention we all look strange standing in the water with our jackets on.

   This was no problem for the Ayer's though because it was snowing at home we were just happy to have our toes in the sand.

        The next day, we took advantage of the strong winds and bought a kite.

      Em lost interest after about 10 min as toddlers usually do and went to search for shells.

     But I have to wonder if it was because the men kept hogging it.  You know boys and their toys...  Which just made it all pretty funny because the kite was a pink and white unicorn.

 The third day was in the 70's and we felt this was our only chance to let Em in the water.  I have since regretted that decision since everyone is now sick.  Except for me...I am on the sand still in my jacket.

  Emery would say it was worth it.

After those 3 days, it got colder and rainier.  So that was it for the beach...which was sad because it was in our backyard.  But we had so much fun exploring other sites.  More pics to come.....
