We packed up the car and hauled up to Nashville on Christmas eve this year. The kids were absolute angels. As always, I expect the worst and they give me their best. Not one melt down or temper tantrum from either of them. The only draw back of the trip was that it took 10 1/2 hours instead of 9. Asher can't really be fed in the car and with Em only being potty trained a year, we didn't want to take any chances. So we had to stop a lot.
But when we finally got there, we couldn't be happier to spend the holiday season with family.
Ash was in the Christmas spirit.
And Em played "Old Mcdonalds" from the beginning of opening presents until the end of the week.
"Can I take your order?"
And of course we had to have our Christmas Birthday dinner!
Why is it that we only let our kids demolish the cake at their 1st birthday? They'd be much better at it a couple years later.
All the excitement of the vacation really knocked the kids out. And there were plenty of laps to go around for Asher.
Em on the other hand enjoyed her jungle themed room fully equipped with mosquito netting...you know, just in case.
We had such a great time with everyone. We miss you already!
