4 months already!

We had Emery's 4 month check up last Wednesday and everything is going great. The doctor gave us the go ahead to start introducing solid foods sometime between now and her 6 month visit. I imagine we will try rice cereal around the 5 month mark. Emery seems really interested in what we are eating and once she gets a little better at sitting up, I'm sure she will be super excited to try real food. Em also had to endure another round of vaccinations. These shots were just as hard to watch, however she handled it a lot better. It didn't completely ruin her day this time. Her growth has changed quite a bit from her 2 month check up. She seems to be growing sideways these days. Since the last time she was measured and weighed, she has gained almost 3 pounds but only 3/4 of an inch in length. Emery has become quite the chunk and is as cute as ever! I guess we found something that she got from me...her baby weight!

We had a great time in Nashville this past week. All of our family and friends got to see Emery, some of them for the first time. She loves having people ooh and ahh over her. She is going to be so spoiled, I'm sure of it. David ran a sub 4 hour marathon in 95 degree heat which is awesome considering the conditions. Emery was a perfect angel on both flights. She slept the whole way there and back. We miss everyone already and can't wait to go back at the end of July! Here areEm's latest pictures. We love and miss you all!
