Greetings loved ones! I hope the holiday season is finding everyone well. Our tree is up and the house is decorated and ready for Christmas. The weather is very chilly and though we have seen a couple of flurries nothing has stuck just yet. While I love the snow, my only fear is our first bad snow storm will be the day I go into labor and David will be stuck almost 30 miles away at work. I love him very much but he is not the bravest driver when it comes to snow and ice. He is a true Floridian at heart. Hopefully he will be able to work from home on the days that call for snow showers.
Our doctor appointment went well today. Dr. James has confirmed that our little girl is headed in the proper direction. We had an ultrasound to make sure her head was in the right place and everything looks good to go. *Disclaimer: the following information has to do with girl parts...close your eyes boys. She also examined me and felt my cervix to see if I was dilated. No dilation just yet. Though my cervix hasn't quite opened, I am starting to thin out so things are rolling along nicely. We will see Dr. James every Wednesday from now until the birth.
The baby is also doing well. It was cool to see her on the screen this morning. Her chest was going up and down as if she was breathing. Dr. James said she is just practicing. Sometimes I can even see it through my stomach. She puts on quite a show for us at night. 10pm is playtime. She is so big now that every movement is not only felt but seen. "At this point babies vary in size, but the average length is between 19 and 20 inches and most babies weigh approximately 6 pounds. About the size of an average large mouth bass caught in Minnesota by your cousin Earl." Those pregnancy emails crack me up sometimes.
We are pretty much ready to go around the house as well. I have my hospital bag packed and the nursery is almost finished. There are still some things we need but for the most part we are prepared. I am very happy with how the room turned out. I have had a lot of requests for pictures so here you go! Once again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We love you guys! Click on the images to make them larger. Until next time....

Not only is it fun to watch you grow; it's also fun to watch the fireplace displays change. I'll return to these pics next year for ideas. :)
You and the nursery look great! We are just around the corner if you and David need a ride to the hospital. You know how Spencer drives...we'll be there in minutes. :)
