Happy Turkey Day! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying time with friends and family this week. David and I always stay in town for Thanksgiving since the Friday after is a busy work day for him. We normally invite friends over (who don't have plans either) for a yummy thanksgiving get-together and this year will be no different. I'm excited to cook my big turkey with all the trimmings and enjoy a lazy day of eating and football.

We are getting close to the due date now and our doctor appointments are getting closer together. It was strange to schedule the last 3 this morning. As usual today's appointment was great. Baby-healthy heartbeat-strong. This week, the baby measures about 17¾ inches, "as almost as long as an American Girl Doll" and weighs almost 5 pounds, "as heavy as a bag of sugar." Next time, Dr. James is going to make sure our little girl is "heading" in the right direction. We talked today about how her head hasn't quite descended into the pelvic area. She is a squirmy worm and gets into these crazy positions that feel sideways/diagonal to me. It is very strange to see my belly turn into a square shape. Dr. James says that she isn't worried about it and that 2 weeks is plenty of time for her to turn. I'll update after the next appointment to keep you all posted on the progress.
