Just as I finished packing for the kids and my trip to Nashville yesterday, the sky opened up and dropped about 3 inches of snow on our town and surrounding areas.
So, we postponed our trip a day and decided to stay home and play. We must not have had enough time with the white stuff in Colorado. We didn't, after all, get to make a snowman while we were there. Which is why the three of us spent the morning making this guy! Em insisted he have a carrot nose. You're welcome deer.
We tried sledding, but our snow is really wet and icy. Its not exactly sledding material.
Another thing we forgot to do in Colorado...snow angels. Asher was not a fan. Maybe that's why.
Just before we went inside, I noticed Emery sticking something in her pocket. If you have ever read The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, this will all make sense to you.
She of course, changed her mind once we got inside and put her snowball in the freezer. She must have learned from the little boy in the story.
