What A Feast!

It was just the 4 of us for Thanksgiving this year.  We had many offers from friends to join their family traditions but I really wanted to cook the food my way this year.  And I must say, it was delicious!  My little helper was by my side the whole way.

Check out our spread!
The turkey was Ina Garten's Accidental Turkey recipe from Food Network Mag.  And it was amazing.  David, who is not a fan of turkey, ate the white meat as well!  It didn't even need gravy, it was so moist.
I also got the stuffing recipe from the FN mag.  Cornbread Stuffing with Shrimp and Ham.  Outstanding.
We also had sweet potatoe casserole with pecans
 and roasted broccoli with parmesan.
Don't forget about dessert!  Mississippi Mud Pie with homemade whipped topping.
Doesn't that just make you want to eat thanksgiving dinner all over again?  I think this will be the first time we won't have to throw leftovers away because we weren't able to finish them off fast enough.

We didn't even have any left over cranberry sauce.  The kids ate all of it.  Funny enough, it was their favorite thing I "made" (pie included) and it was the only thing that came from a can.

And there's my guy. :) Cleaning up the mess.  All of it.  I don't think I washed one thing.  I'd cook all day long, every day if I didn't have to do dishes.  He is one of the many things for which I am thankful.

Cooking a whole Thanksgiving meal is definitely something to be proud of!
(your hair looks pretty! I don't know if you put more red in it or if it's the lighting but I like it!)
