Asher's First Outing

Asher turned a week old on Friday and we celebrated by taking him to the hot air balloon festival in our neighborhood.

Ash slept through most of it.

But Big Sis couldn't get enough.

She even got to go up in a tethered balloon ride! Twice!

Once with Daddy...

(I'm so mad this pic didn't turn out!)

...and once with Mommy.

(This one was a little better.)

Both times with her buddy Lexi.

(Finally! Cheese!)

The balloon went about 50 feet in the air. Em was a little nervous so close to the fire but was very proud of herself when we were finished.

The next day we went back to enjoy a little bounce house action. Asher enjoyed the fresh air...and the inside of his eyelids.

It was such a beautiful day.

Em attacked the bouncy obstacles.

David and I reminisced when Emery was a week old. We took her to a Maryland basketball game. (Thanks again for the floor seats Nick) The loud noise didn't bother her a bit.

And look at her now!

No fear.

Before we knew it, the daredevil in her emerged.

Down the slide, head first, backwards.

What a great way to spend the weekend as a new family.
