I'm a lot more fun now that I am one!

We have survived a year! And what a wonderful year it has been. I can't believe that this time last year we were being discharged from the hospital with a beautiful newborn baby. I can't believe how much she has changed in just one year!

We celebrated Emery's birthday on Christmas eve this year. After looking at the amount of presents she received for birthday and Christmas, we thought we'd split them up into two days so it wasn't so overwhelming for her. She loved every minute of it. First we started with presents.

Then we all gathered around to sing Happy Birthday to our big girl.

Here we are, proud parents dressed in party gear. Even Lincoln participated.

For dessert we ordered the famous Dino's 24 Carrot Cake for the adults and I made Emery her own banana cake with cream cheese for icing. Looks delicious huh? Well there wasn't any sugar in it so it didn't taste that great. Emery liked it though and that's all that matters.
