"Emery, where are you going?" is a sentence she hears often

No more boxes! We have finally finished unpacking. Now all we have to do is find a place for everything and hang pictures. Emery is adjusting to our new home very well. Now that she has much more space to crawl, she is getting pretty good at maneuvering herself around. She is quick too! I can't believe she is 8 months old today. As you may know, she has been saying Dada for a while now. Everything is Dada. Lately she has figured out how to make more sounds, Tuh's, Yuh's, Bah's, THa's. I even hear Mama every once in a while. Mostly when she is upset. Of course! haha! Here is a video of her discovering how to make new sounds with her tongue and getting a kick out of it.


Emery is such a happy baby. We enjoy every second of her. It is amazing how fast she picks things up. My favorite part of the day is when I go to her crib after she wakes up. Her face lights up because she is so happy to see me. Almost like she has missed me during those hours of sleep. I pull her up to a standing position in her crib and let her hang out there for a minute while I get her clothes/diaper ready. She gets so proud of herself. Once she gets some balance, it won't be long before she is walking. She loves to practice around the house while holding your hands.



Once we get the house the way we want it, I'll post pics of the new place. Did I mention how much we love it? I think David and I say those words about once an hour. We are so thankful for the blessings that God has given us. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We love you!
