Recently we took a trip down to Orlando to visit some very dear friends of ours. Every day was jam packed full of fun.
We started off with a day at Disney's Magic Kingdom.
The ferry ride in was full of anticipation for the kids.
Us parents hugged it out and prepared ourselves.
We were in charge of five very excited children after all.

I was so proud of how brave Emery was on the big kid rides. She is tall enough to ride everything and as long as it wasn't completely dark, she was up for pretty much anything. That's my girl!

We ended the day with a visit with Mickey Mouse himself. We had about 10 minutes of alone time with him.
Mickey wasn't just any old guy in a suit. He talks, his mouth moves, he is a pretty funny mouse.
Mickey had us dancing and spinning in circles until we all got dizzy. The kids were over the moon.
When it was all over and we couldn't take anymore, everyone was in great spirits even after all the walking and zero naps. Who needs a double stroller when you can double up on a single?
Most importanly, the parents survived!
In all seriousness, Disney couldn't have gone better. We ended up lucking out with a fast pass for almost every ride. We didn't wait longer than 15 mins. And with the toddler swap, most of us got to ride things more than once with no wait! No one whined, cried, or complained. Even the weather was perfect. I imagine every Disney trip from now on will be down hill from here. That's how good it was.
The next day, we had fun at Seaworld's Aquatica.
However, since it was a water park and we were in our bathing suits all day, we didn't get many pictures. But they did have a slide with a clear tube that went right through this tank that housed these killer whale looking dolphins. Way cool!
That evening, we got baby sitters for the kids and us adults went out for some fun on our own. Date night!
After dinner, we headed to downtown Universal.
Scott and I rocked the mic at an awesome karaoke bar. They had a real band with real back up singers and everything! Coolest karaoke experience ever!

We're pretty much rock stars now.
The next day, we took it easy. We cheered on Evan and Carson in their little league games and grilled out at the house. Scott and I were even recognized at Target for our performances from the night before. But we were all "No autographs please. We are with our family. Can't we just be normal for once!" ;)
Our final day in lovely Orlando was the main event. David and Scott manned up for Florida Half Ironman 70.3.

Great job guys. You are our heroes.
We couldn't have had a better time in sunny Florida. We came back home to cold 50 degree temps and plan to sleep for a week.
