I love Halloween! And I love to dress up...sometimes to my husband's detriment. This year as usual, he rocked it and looked so good! Even when I am old and gray and my kids have their own kids, I will dress up while I give candy at my door. This year for Halloween, the Ayer family went as the characters from Tangled. Emery-Rapunzel, David-Flynn Rider (Eugene), Lindsay-Mother Gothel, Asher-Pascal
I made Emery's braid from a skein of yarn with some ribbon and flowers. The whole thing cost about 5 bucks! As for Asher's costume, finding a chameleon outfit was impossible. Kermit the Frog was the closest I could get.
If you haven't seen Tangled, I highly recommend it. It is my favorite Disney movie. (besides The Little Mermaid) It is just so clever and funny. And the only one where one of the characters actually wonders why everyone is singing. It's fun for all ages I tell ya.
"You should know, this is the strangest thing I've ever done!" Favorite movie quote.
The Bells joined us again for a little trick or treat. (Braxton-ninja, Harper-tinker bell)
We also had the luxury of borrowing the Parish's golf cart this year. And thank goodness. The hills in our neighborhood are killer! Pulling the wagon last year was quite the workout.
Being one of the few families in the neighborhood with kids has its advantages on Halloween. We get full size candy bars and bags specifically made for each child. The kids hit the mother load. This pic below doesn't do justice. I have two buckets full of candy above my fridge and am currently finding recipes for left over candy...cookies, pies, breads. David's office should be thanking me soon. :) Hope your Halloween treated you as well as ours! Muah Ha Haa!!
