Bring it on Spring!

The Ayer household is quite busy these days. With all of the visitors and trips coming up, it is hard to slow down and realize how fast this little girl is growing. Emery is developing beautifully. She is so alert and full of life, talking to us and giving those big beautiful grins. Time between naps is getting longer which allows for more play time and learning. We have been reading to her and playing the games that the baby emails suggest. Bath time is a favorite. She loves to just look around and take things in. Riding in the car and in the stroller is very soothing to her. This is great for me because we don't have to be couped up in the house all day. We have also introduced the bottle to her recently so that we can be out and not have to worry about finding a place for me to feed her. So far we haven't tried it in public but David has enjoyed feeding her at home. It has become a nice new way for them to bond.

I have been running/walking with her in the jog stroller almost 5 days a week...that is, if the weather is nice. It feels so good to exercise again. Spring can't get here fast enough. I am so sick of cold weather. We have had a couple of days in the low 60's and it was just a tease. David has a few races coming up in the near future. March 1st is the B&A half marathon and March 21 is the HAT run 50k. This will be his first ultra marathon so keep him in your prayers and wish him luck. In April we are so excited to be going to Nashville for a week to visit friends and family and show off Emery. David will be running the Country Music Marathon on the 26th. I know, he is a machine.

Next week, Emery has her two month check up. I'll post again with her updated height and weight. She also has to get 5 vaccinations. We are not looking forward to it, me especially. Watching her face while she gets shots is the worst. Lets just hope I can keep the tears under wraps. The last thing they need is both of us crying in there. Be strong!

As always thank you to everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for all of your cards and gifts. We love you all!

Here are Emery's latest pictures. Enjoy!
